Health

Health Education is a course where your child has the opportunity to learn information that they can use throughout their lifetime. The curriculum is designed to provide information needed to make  important decisions about health, wellness and individual lifestyle. It will also teach them how to manage and reduce stressful situations and seek support as early as possible when issues arise. The topics we will be discussing include mental health, nutrition, physical fitness, substance abuse and drugs, HIV, sexually  transmitted infections and pregnancy prevention. All high school students are required to earn one credit of health in order to graduate. They are also mandated to be taught six HIV lessons per year.
