Mathematics

The mathematics program at Robert F. Kennedy Community High School includes challenging coursework that prepares all students to meet the graduation requirements, and provides opportunities for students to experience college level curricula. We offer students the Regents sequence of Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Successful completion of this sequence, prepares students to participate in the AP (Advanced Placement) program in which students can enroll in AP Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics. Students in the Pre-Calculus course, are also eligible to enroll in the University in the High School collaboration with the Farmingdale State College for college credit. Students who do not enroll in these college credit bearing classes, also have the option to enroll in other relevant math electives, including Personal Finance and College Algebra.
